The Neurodivergent Family Room
Welcome to the Neurodivergent Family Room! This is a space within The Gentle Way to bring the complicated stuff of raising neurodivergent kids.
Bring me the thing.
The meltdown. The school email. The impossible morning. The conversation that went sideways. The thing your kid keeps doing. The thing you keep doing.
Or just: “I have absolutely no idea what to do with this.”
You don't just need more information. You need somewhere to bring the actual thing that's happening in your actual family.
That's what the Neurodivergent Family Room is for.
Two ways to work with me
Support for the complicated stuff
Ongoing support for parents as real life happens.
Bring me the thing. We'll slow it down and figure it out together.
Student Reset Day
Three hours of dedicated space for a neurodivergent kid who needs a reset.
No predetermined agenda. Just space to be, process, move, talk, play, rest, or follow wherever their brain needs to go.

Family Support
Ongoing support for parents as real life happens.
Instead of scheduling an appointment every time something comes up, you have an ongoing place to bring the things you're trying to figure out.
You send me a video when you need to. I respond when I'm available. We stay with the thing for as long as it needs attention, rather than trying to squeeze your entire family life into 50 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon.
You don't have to prepare. You don't have to organize your thoughts, find the right words, or even know exactly what you need.
Maybe it's the meltdown that happened at breakfast. The email from school you don't know how to answer. The thing your kid keeps doing that you can't make sense of. The conversation that went completely sideways. Or the thing youkeep doing even though you know you don't want to.
You can bring any of that here.
I'll watch when I'm available, and we'll slow it down together. We'll get curious about what's actually happening—for you, for your kid, and in the space between you—and figure out what might help.
A little about how this works
Family Support often happens through private video messaging. I use Marco Polo because it lets us stay connected without having to find another time when everyone is available.
You can send me a video when something happens. I watch and respond when I'm available.
You don't need to know anything about Marco Polo before we talk. I'll explain how it works during your free vibe check, and you can decide whether this kind of support feels like a fit for your family. Live sessions are available as needed.
Sometimes that means finding a practical next step. Sometimes it means seeing the situation differently. Sometimes you realize the thing doesn't actually need fixing.
And sometimes you just need someone to say, “Yep. I can see why this is happening.”
Then you go back to your life.
Until the next thing.
This might include:
- Meltdowns and dysregulation
- School stuff
- Communication and conflict
- Demand avoidance and autonomy
- Capacity and overwhelm
- Parent guilt and shame
- Understanding what's underneath a behavior
- Sibling and family dynamics
- The teen years
- Your own nervous system
- Figuring out what actually fits your family
This isn't about finding the one right parenting strategy.
It's about slowing things down enough to discover what fits.

Student Reset Day
Three hours of dedicated space for a neurodivergent kid who needs a reset.
Sometimes your kid doesn't need another adult telling them what they should do.
Sometimes they need somewhere they can just be.
Student Reset Day is three hours of dedicated, one-on-one space for a neurodivergent student who needs room to decompress, process, explore, or simply exist without having to perform.
There is no predetermined agenda.
They might talk, move, draw, play, follow a special interest, take breaks, process something that's happened, or do absolutely nothing at all.
We start with the student who's actually there.

Who's Jenny?
Hey! I'm Jenny.
I'm an autistic/ADHD parent who's been doing this for almost 15 years, and I've spent 20+ years working with children, teens, and young adults.
I'm also a somatic practitioner—which means I don't just want to help you understand what's happening.
I want to help you notice what's happening in your body, too.
I've spent a lot of time thinking about neurodivergent life.
And now I have the spaciousness to sit beside other families while they figure out what works for them.

A note about what this is—and isn't.
This is support.
It isn't crisis care, emergency support, or mental health treatment.
I'm not here to diagnose your child or tell you exactly what to do.
I'm here to bring another perspective, anothernervous system, and another place to think.
We'll slow things down, notice what's happening, get curious about what might be underneath it, and explore what could fit.
You are still the expert on your family. I'm just here to sit beside you while you figure it out.
Ready to bring me the thing?
