Parent Support

Parent Support

Bring me the thing—when the thing actually happens.

Parenting a neurodivergent kid doesn't happen in 50-minute appointments. The school email arrives at 10:43. The meltdown happens at 2:17. The conversation goes sideways at bedtime.

By the time your next appointment rolls around, you may have forgotten half of what happened—or be trying to explain something that made perfect sense in the moment but is much harder to describe later.

Parent Support gives you somewhere to bring those moments while they're still fresh. You send me a message or set aside time for a conversation. I listen, think alongside you, and help you explore what's happening and what might help.

You don't have to organize your thoughts, ask the perfect question, or figure it all out before reaching out.

You can bring me the actual thing.

The school email you don't know how to answer. The recurring conflict that leaves everyone overwhelmed. The decision you're stuck on. The worry that you're getting it wrong. The realization that your own nervous system is part of the story, too.

We can make room for things like:

  • Big feelings and hard moments — meltdowns, dysregulation, capacity, and overwhelm
  • School and decisions — emails, meetings, educational choices, and the things you're stuck trying to figure out
  • Communication and connection — conflict, sibling dynamics, changing relationships with your teen, and finding your way back to each other
  • Demand avoidance and autonomy — understanding the push and pull between what needs to happen and what your child can manage
  • What's underneath the behavior — getting curious about needs, stress, and what might be making things harder
  • Your own inner world — parent guilt and shame, your nervous system, and the feelings that come with loving a child whose needs can be hard to navigate
  • What fits your family — exploring possibilities without assuming someone else's solution will work for you

We'll get curious about what's happening—for you, for your kid, and in the space between you. Sometimes we'll find a practical next step. Sometimes we'll see the situation differently. Sometimes we'll realize the thing doesn't actually need fixing.

This isn't about finding the one right parenting strategy. It's about understanding your particular family well enough to discover what fits.

Two ways to connect

Ongoing support through Marco Polo
For the things that keep unfolding in real life.

Send me a private voice or video message when something comes up. I'll listen, think alongside you, and respond with questions, reflections, perspective, and practical possibilities.

Think of it as a little podcast made just for you — a personalized response you can return to, listen to again, and build on as we continue our work together.

We don't have to coordinate calendars or squeeze everything into one appointment. You reach out within the boundaries of your support plan, and I respond within our agreed timeframe.

We'll establish the length of your support container, message expectations, and availability before we begin.

A Parent Support Conversation
Sometimes you just need a little space to talk something through.

Bring the school situation, the recurring conflict, the question you can't quite answer, or the feeling you've been carrying around. We'll slow down, get curious, and think together about what might help.

You don't need to prepare anything or know exactly what you need. We'll start where you are.

30 minutes — $30

45 minutes — $45

A simple place to begin, with no commitment to ongoing support.

A little about how I work

I've spent more than 20 years alongside children, teens, young adults, and families, and nearly 15 years parenting neurodivergent kids myself.

My work draws on pastoral care and spiritual accompaniment, somatic and nervous system work, and a deep curiosity about the inner worlds we carry.

I'm not here with a perfect parenting formula. I'm here to listen, notice what's happening beneath the surface, and help you find a little more understanding for your child and yourself.

You know your family. I bring another perspective, a curious mind, and a place to think out loud.

A few things to know

Do I need to know what I need help with?

No. You can arrive with a question, a story, or a vague sense that something isn't working. We can begin there.

How does Marco Polo work?

It's a private free voice and video messaging app that lets us exchange messages on our own schedules. You don't need to know anything about it beforehand. If we decide ongoing support is a good fit, I'll walk you through getting started.

Is this therapy or crisis support?

No. Parent Support offers relational support and reflection. It isn't psychotherapy, diagnosis, emergency care, or a substitute for specialized clinical or educational support. Marco Polo support also isn't unlimited or immediately available; we'll agree on clear expectations before beginning.

Let's find a place to begin.

You don't have to figure out whether you need one conversation or ongoing support all by yourself.

If you're interested in ongoing Marco Polo support, start with a free 30-minute vibe check. We'll talk about what's happening, what you're looking for, and whether the container feels like a good fit.

If you'd prefer a single conversation, you can book one directly.

Either way, you don't need the right words. Just bring me the thing.
